From a composition standpoint, creating tension between objects is one of the more challenging things to me. But I think Forms 282 and 283 do a pretty good job.

I need to paint a couple more solid pools of black. I prefer the organic look and balance it gives the piece, versus when I would just drop in a flat, rich black in Photoshop.

Forms 273 is really just me wanting to keep playing around with Forms 264. And Forms 274 came out of that too. More or less. Both of these, along with Forms 256 from a week ago, would make interesting patterns. I’d like to work those up soon, but I’ve got a ton of other work in front of me and a literal ton of snow threatening to be dropped on me tonight.
